HSCN readiness confirmation testing

Current Chapter

Current chapter – HSCN readiness confirmation testing

Summary

There are two components to the test/reporting scenarios. The consumer may wish to witness the CNSP testing (ping and trace to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses) to avoid duplication in testing.

  1. The CN-SP simply completes the yes/no column in the Service Readiness Test Report during their readiness testing and in accordance with the DPS Call off Terms, Schedule 4 Part 2 test process.
  2. The HSCN consumer carries out the simple connectivity tests detailed in this document and records the results in the test report.

The combination of these two component results confirms that readiness is complete and satisfactory to both parties and that HSCN is available.

The consumer test process has been divided into three areas, which demonstrate connectivity to HSCN and the internet (where applicable).

  1. Initial set up
  2. Base connectivity tests (including internet outbound - if applicable)
  3. User defined connectivity tests (including the internet, outbound - if applicable)

These areas are described in more detail later in this document.
