Referring organisations - support materials for using the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS)
The page provides access to various materials to help referring users understand functionality and processes within the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS).
The video on this page may not be viewable
We are aware of the issue and are working on a solution. We apologise for any inconvenience.
The support materials including any patient information detailed on this page are fictional. The materials have been created using simulated environments which mirrors web-based e-RS.
Any guides using integrated GP systems should be requested from the specific system supplier.
Some of the videos have not been updated with the screen layout changes following the June, August and December 2024 releases. The main enhancements missing from the materials are the way users log in to e-RS, the patient search functionality, information displayed in 'Patient activity', referral summary screen, cancelling referral and cancelling appointments. These screen enhancements have not changed any functionality within e-RS.
A technical issue is currently preventing the video links working, we are working to resolve this. Contact [email protected] for support.
