Digital minor illness referral service (DMIRS)

The digital minor illness referral service (DMIRS) is a service which refers patients from NHS 111 or NHS 111 online, straight to their nearby pharmacist, rather than to services like doctors, or A&E.

What the service does

The service is used to give patients who call NHS 111, or use NHS 111 online, a safe and appropriate outcome for their minor illness. The patients are sent to a local pharmacy who can help the patient with their minor illness.
