Adoption Registration Service

This service helps adoptees and birth relatives check if someone has died in England, Wales or the Isle of Man. You can also use this service to share hereditary medical information with an adoptee's or birth relative's GP. Currently, only the medical information part of the service is operational.

About this service

The Adoption Registration Service:

  • checks for a Civil Death Registration in England, Wales or the Isle of Man for adoptees and birth relatives
  • allows information about hereditary medical conditions to be shared with adoptees or birth relatives through their GP
