Cancer Registration Statistics, England, 2024

Presents a detailed summary of the 2024 cancer registrations. Information on methodology and quality of data is also provided. 

Estimates of cancer incidence diagnosed from 2013 to 2024 are published using the NDRS cancer groups and are aggregated by diagnosis year, gender, age at diagnosis, deprivation quintile, and stage at diagnosis, for England (Table 1 of data download). 

Estimates of cancer incidence diagnosed from 2013 to 2024 are published using ICD-10 codes and are aggregated by diagnosis year, gender and age at diagnosis for England (Table 2 of data download). 

An interactive dashboard for exploring cancer incidence counts and rates in England is also provided. 

This interactive dashboard allows users to explore and download cancer incidence counts and rates in England with the added functionality of combining age groups, additional years of data (from 2013 for NDRS cancer groups and from 2001 for ICD-10 codes), and sub-national geographies. 

The dashboard currently displays national data up to 2023, and subnational data up to 2022. Both national and subnational data will be updated up to 2024 in due course.
