System delivery function

There is no requirement for NHS England to create or procure a system delivery function to facilitate this work. It is expected that NHS England will utilise its existing strategic toolset to meet this requirement.  


Change control process

Changes to this Specification will be managed by NHS England in conjunction with DHSC to ensure such changes are aligned with the Directions. This includes liaising with external stakeholders as detailed below

  1. NHS England Adult Mental Health proposal for change to data collection 
  2. NHS England Primary Care Domain (PCD) consult with stakeholders 
  3. NHS England PCD and adult mental health prepare revised service requirement template 
  4. NHS England PCD and adult mental health agree SRT 
  5. NHSE PCD revise data specification 
  6. NHS England  - revise GDPR documentation.
  7. NHSE IG consulted regarding changes
  8. NHS Digital/DHSC - draft revised Directions for significant changes 
  9. NHS England - follow process for acceptance of the Directions.
  10. Data Standards Assurance Services (DSAS) - review data specification and assure collection.

  11. DAPB - review data specification and approve collection.

  12. NHS England- issue revised data provision notice.

  13. NHS England  PCD - collect data via General Practice Extraction Service (GPES) process.
