Out Of Hours

Use this message integration to send details of an out of hours (OOH) assessment from an out of hours GP system to the patient's registered GP.  

It uses MESH to send and receive messages.

The message payload is actually not that standard, as explained below.

This message integration is in production but deprecated.

We recommend you use the GP Connect Send Document - FHIR message integration.

This message integration uses the following MESH workflow IDs to pass information between out of hours services and GPs:

• OOH_ADASTRA
• OOH_MESSAGE
• OOH_DMS

The structure of the payload is not standard - application developers have agreed the payload structure on a per-integration basis.

We believe that most of the payloads for out of hours messages are based on a format known as 'Kettering XML' - originally developed for discharge messages in Kettering in the 1990s.
