BaRS FHIR API onboarding support information

The Booking and Referral - FHIR API uses digital onboarding. During the process you'll be asked to download and use documents on this page.

Information on this page might impact the design of your software.

We provide a copy of the BaRS hazard log and clinical safety case report (CSCR) to inform your clinical safety work by sharing the clinical risk mitigations that you need to implement as part of complying with standard DCB0129. (See downloads below.) This includes creating your own hazard log and CSCR.

If you're an existing software development organisation, you can update your existing hazard log and CSCR to include the work you're doing on hazards and mitigations for BaRS. 

If you're a new software development organisation, you need to create a new hazard log and CSCR using the blank 'Clinical safety hazard log template' and 'CSCR template' provided under Clinical risk management -> Document templates.

If you do not already have one, appointing a Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) early on during the development phase to support this clinical safety work could avoid delays later on.

However you create it, upload your completed hazard log and CSCR in the event that you are requested to do so within the digital onboarding portal.
