This report contains key information based on the submissions that have been made by providers to the Community Services Data Set (CSDS) collection and focuses on data relating to activity that occurred in May 2020 as follows:
* 133 providers submitted at least the minimum data for the CSDS. Of these, 132 providers submitted referrals data and 127 providers submitted care contact data.
* There were 723,714 referrals received across all submitters of referral data, relating to 521,412 patients. Of these, 140,848 referrals related to 125,257 children and young people (aged 0-18).
* Of these 723,714 referrals above, 582,803 referrals related to 396,119 adults (aged over 18). 22 per cent of total referrals were for patients with ages over 85.
* There were 5,237,970 care contacts with 1,360,433 patients, across all submitters of care contact data. Of these, 1,095,604 contacts related to 512,579 children and young people.
* Of these 5,237,970 care contacts above, 4,141,978 contacts related to 847,840 adults. 23 per cent of total care contacts were for patients with ages over 85.
* Of the 122,636 children and young people with a recorded gender and a referral received in the period, 54 per cent (66,225) were males, and of the 506,932 children and young people with a recorded gender and a care contact in the period, 56 per cent (281,549) were males.
* Of the 394,493 adults with a recorded gender and a referral received in the period, 39 per cent (152,763) were males, and of the 841,680 adults with a recorded gender with a care contact in the period, 38 per cent (319,940) were males.
* Across all submitters of care contact data, 89 per cent (3,726,399) of care contacts were attended by the patient and 3 per cent (114,099) were not attended by the patient (where attendance or non-attendance was recorded). The remaining 9 per cent of care contacts (369,393) were cancelled by the patient or health care provider.
* 42 providers submitted immunisation data. Across these submitters, 135,269 immunisations for children and young people were reported.
