Background to the collection
The information obtained from the KO41B collection monitors written complaints received by NHS primary care providers (GP and dental practices) by service area and type. It also supports the commitment given in equity and excellence to improve the patient experience by listening to the public voice.
The data for dental complaints will be collected by the NHS Business Services Authority and passed to NHS Digital by a secure transfer.
The data for GP practices will be collected via the NHS Digital Strategic Data Collection Service (SDCS).
