Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) pilot 11

A Mandatory request from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) requesting that NHS Digital establish and operate a system for the collection and analysis of information relating to Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) pilot 11.

Purpose

NHS Digital has been required by the Department of Health and NHS England to support the development of new QOF indicators by providing NICE with QOF data extractions since 2009. The purpose of the pilot is to try and understand how potential indicators work in general practice and whether the indicators have any unintended or adverse consequences.

Legal basis

Section 255(1) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012.

Type 1 objections will be upheld when extracting the primary care data.

The Request came into force in 2016.
