Module 3.10 - Testing evidence
This module addresses testing across the lifecycle — unit, integration, functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), regression, performance and security testing — and what constitutes robust evidence for clinical safety assurance.
This module will provide:
- Types of testing across the lifecycle
- What constitutes robust evidence for assurance
- Defines and agrees test requirements with suppliers and providers
- Reviews test plans and evidence for sufficiency and traceability
- Evidence-driven and thorough
- Maintains independence when reviewing supplier claims

Content guidance
1. Test evidence in the assurance argument
Lifecycle testing — unit, integration, functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), usability, business process validation (BPV), regression, performance, security.
Supplier versus provider responsibilities.
Traceability of causes and contributory factors to controls and evidence of the testing against the control.
Mapping test evidence to verify controls such as training and business process.
