Starting your Apply for Care ID application
From how to get an invite, to accessing the online form troubleshooting guidance to support your Care ID application.
How to get an invite
You’ll need to be invited to Apply for Care ID by a Registration Authority (RA) manager or agent, or sponsor.
If you've not received your invite email
If you have not received an email inviting you to use Apply for Care ID, check your junk or spam folder.
If it’s not in there, go back to the person who invited you into the process to see if they can resend the email.
If the email does not seem to be sending, there may be a technical issue. You'll need to email the service desk at [email protected], including your application ID and full details of the issue in the email.
If your invite email link has expired
You do not need to do anything. The person who invited you to start the process will see your application link has expired and they will send you a new link.
If you do not receive a new link within a few days, you can contact them and them to resend you a new link. You can do this by emailing them using the email address included in your invite email.
Do not contact the National Service Desk email address - the central team cannot resend your invitation.
If you see an error when you select the link
If you are overseas
Unfortunately, you cannot access this service from overseas. Contact the person that invited you to let them know you'll complete your application on your return - their email address will be included in your invite email.
If your invite link expires before you return, the person who invited you to start the process will see your link has expired and they will send you a new link.
If you are in the UK and see an error
You'll need to email the service desk at [email protected], including your application ID and full details of the issue in the email.
