Creating a new referral assessment service
These instructions only cover the entry of the mandatory information required to create a service in e-RS which will be linked to a PAS. Depending on the type of service required, additional configurations may need to be added.
Arrange referral
In order to create a referral the selected patient must be registered as a patient at the referring organisation in PDS - that is, the ‘GP Practice’ code stored against the patient in PDS must match the ‘GP Practice’ code of the referring clinician creating the referral in e-RS.
Arrange appointment (indirect booking)
In order to cancel a referral, the referrer must log into e-RS as a referring clinician and search for the patient’s NHS number or UBRN.
