Patient Flags FHIR API onboarding support information

Submit hazard and risk logs to demonstrate your risk mitigation.

1. Understand the onboarding process

The Patient Flags API uses digital onboarding.

To onboard to a flag supported by the Patient Flags API, you must:

  1. Complete the Patient Flags API hazard log.
  2. Complete the additional hazard and risk documentation for the flag you are integrating with.
  3. Upload your completed documents in the digital onboarding portal during onboarding.
  4. Provide evidence of your risk mitigations during testing where required.

The logs contain the minimum hazards you must address as part of your clinical safety review. Information in the documents on this page may affect the design of your software.

The documents are Microsoft Excel files. To request a different format, contact us.

2. Complete the Patient Flags API hazard log

All organisations onboarding to the Patient Flags API must complete the Patient Flags API hazard log as part of their clinical safety review.
