Release of 'End of Year Final' 2022-23 data
'End of Year Final' versions of the main monthly csv files for each month between April 2022 and March 2023, collected under MHSDS version 5, which reflect revised 2022-23 Multiple Submission Window Model submissions that occurred after 'Performance' monthly data had already been published are now available. These csvs include a complete set of breakdowns, including the national level data that was omitted from the corresponding performance csv released at the time for each month between August 2022 and March 2023.
Please refer to the relevant monthly publication pages available from the Mental Health Services Monthly Statistics series page for further details and to access the 'End of Year Final' 2022-23 data.
COVID-19 and the production of statistics
Due to the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) disruption, the quality and coverage of some of our statistics has been affected, for example by an increase in non-submissions for some datasets. We are also seeing some different patterns in the submitted data. For example, fewer patients are being referred to hospital and more appointments being carried out via phone/telemedicine/email. Therefore, data should be interpreted with care over the COVID-19 period.
Updates to measures
- From Performance May 2022 onwards, the following new measure relating to care contacts has been added to the monthly release:
MHS109 - Number of People aged 18 to 24 supported through NHS funded mental health with at least one contact (12 month rolling)
- Several new breakdowns for selected existing care contact measures have been made available within the MHSDS Monthly: Performance May 2022 MHSDS CSV file.
- New breakdowns have also been made available within the MHSDS Monthly: Performance May 2022 Restrictive Interventions CSV file.
- Further details of these updates are available in the Notes on measures page as well as in the the Metadata file and Mental Health Services publication list.
