Circumstances

In the year ending 31 March 2018:

  • At the time of death, (62%) of the children in ‘Other private residence’ had their deaths assessed as having modifiable factors.
  • Deaths categorised as ‘Sudden unexpected, unexplained death’ had the highest proportion (73%) of deaths identified as having modifiable factors whilst ‘Malignancy’ had the least proportion (4%).
