NHS 111 pathways Directions 2017

Directions given by NHS England requiring NHS Digital to establish and operate a system for the collection of information to be known as the NHS 111 pathways data collection information system.

Purpose

To enable linking of the 111/999 service data with the clinical outcomes of patients using the service, which will enable the accuracy of the triage advice provided by NHS 111 to be assessed.

Legal basis

Sections 254(1), (3) and (6) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012

The Directions came into force on 20 March 2017.
