Dementia prevalence Directions 2015

Directions given by NHS England requiring NHS Digital to establish and operate a system for the collection of information to be known as the dementia prevalence information system.

Purpose

To support the Department of Health's policies for improving the diagnosis and care of patients with dementia.

Legal basis

Sections 254(1), (3) and (6) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012.

The Directions came into force on 12 October 2015.

These Directions were revoked on 3 January 2023 and are no longer in force.
