Recorded Dementia Diagnoses
Dementia data will be collected as part of the Core GP Contract service from October 2022; previously it was collected as part of the Dementia Data Core Contract service. Data for the period April - October 2022 will be recollected and published under the new service, but this change involves:
- Changes to the specification of some of the counts within the service
- A break in the time series for all counts, on account of retrospective coding, changes in practice participation and changes in patient registration.
- Correction of counts of patients with a record of receiving a medication review. Due to an issue with the extraction of this count, the number of patients with a record of receiving a medication review was under-reported in the antecedent 'Recorded dementia diagnoses' publication series.
Further detail is available in the methodological change notice.
