Service availability

This page provides information about product availability, service status and planned future developments to help organisations understand the current maturity and use of CP-IS.

CP-IS is only for use in England, and only for the purpose of direct care.

This service is live and has been in active use since 2014.

It is currently used by:

• 100% of local authorities
• over 1,200 unscheduled care settings
• over 25 social care and healthcare software applications
• around 50 scheduled care settings as early adopters of the service

CP-IS is a bronze service, meaning it’s supported hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays

CP-IS has a roadmap to extend coverage and champion data sharing between agencies.
