Prescribed Services Operational (PSO) Tool 2025/26 - updated

The Prescribed Services 2026/27 Operational (PSO) Tool was postponed as a result of financial volatility concerns given the magnitude of change with the update to OPCS 4.11 and National Coding Standards.

NHS England Specialised Commissioning Team have however, requested that the Identification Rules be updated for use in 2026/27. These changes will be implemented in SUS and have resulted in an update to the PSO Tool 2025/26

The updated PSO 2025/26 Tool v2 has been produced by the National Casemix Office which incorporates these changes.

Please note that this Tool will need to be used with the Pricing Mapping TOCE as it has not been updated to accommodate OPCS 4.11 and changes to coding standards.

This tool implements the NHS England Identification Rules that have been updated from the PSS 2025/26 Operational Tool.

The relevant documentation suite has also been updated (see below).
