Release 16.9 - 9 October 2026

Release 16.9 - 9 October 2026

1. Single Point of Access (SPoA) services

This release introduced the first phase of functionality to support elective Single Points of Access (SPoA).

The initial phase allows e-RS Service Definers to set specific e-RS services as SPoA services and a new ‘Single point of access’ label helps referrers and provider users identify SPoA services from all other service types during service searching and when onward referring.

The October release also includes a technical update to align e-RS Pathway start date with RTT Policy requirements and capture the referrer’s advice intention.

Review the SPoA news article for full configuration and implementation guidance.

Changes to e-RS Data Extracts

EBSX05: Service – Monthly extract updated from end of October 2026 onwards. A new column will be added to the extract, 'SPOA_IND', indicating whether an e-RS service has been defined as a SPoA.

EBSX02D: Daily UBRN Action – Following release 16.9 (9 October 2026), 2 new columns were added to the extract, 'advice_creation_intent_cd' and 'advice_and_guidance_intention_cd'.
