UK Genetic Testing Network (UKGTN) - series closed 2018

The UK Genetic Testing Network (UKGTN) was established in 2001, and closed in 2018 when most of its functions moved to the Genomics Unit at NHS England.

It was a national advisory organisation for NHS clinical genetic testing services made up of a collaboration of clinicians, scientists, patient representatives and commissioners and had a membership of laboratories. These laboratories undertook both molecular genetics and cytogenetic testing. The UKGTN aimed to promote equity of access to genetic testing for clinical purposes within the NHS.

NHS Digital worked in partnership with the UKGTN to provide reporting on these clinical genetic testing services.
