Summary
This statistical release makes available the most recent Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) monthly and quarterly data, including activity, waiting times, and outcomes such as recovery.
IAPT is run by the NHS in England and offers NICE-approved therapies for treating people with depression or anxiety.
Highlights
In September 2017 there were:
- 116,444 new referrals
- 80,812 referrals entered treatment
- 46,600 referrals completed a course of treatment, of which:
- 88.7 per cent waited less than 6 weeks and 98.9 per cent waited less than 18 weeks to enter treatment
- 43,431 started treatment at caseness, with 51.1 per cent moving to recovery
