Time series analysis of patients registered at a GP practice

A time series analysis of the number of patients registered at a GP practice in the 15 month period from August 2019 to October 2020

The number of patients in the 8 month period from August 2019 to April 2020 grew by 0.8% from 59,957,750 to 60,458,907. This growth stopped in April 2020 and decreased by 0.1% over the next 5 months between April 2020 and September 2020 (60,458,907 to 60,417,236). For October 2020, the number of patients has started to rise again.

In the 8 month period from August 2019 to April 2020, the number of patients under 65 grew by 0.8% from 49,457,360 to 49,869,936. This growth stopped in April 2020 and decreased by 0.2% over the next 5 months between April 2020 and September 2020. For October 2020, the number of patients under 65 has started to rise again.

In the 8 month period from August 2019 to April 2020, the number of patients aged 65 and over grew by 0.8% from 10,500,390 to 10,588,971. This growth stopped in April 2020 and decreased over the next month by 0.2% between April 2020 to May 2020. Since May 2020, the number of patients aged 65 and over started to increase again and has continued rising for the past 5 months.
