Summary

Note:Outdated percentage of population figures for 2008/09 and 2009/10 were published in table 4a (adult, child and total) and figure 4b (total) in the original release of this report.

The corresponding table and figure in annex 1 also contained this error. Corrected figures have been provided in this version, released on 27 September 2011. The corrected figures do not impact on any figures for change over time, or on general trend over the periods shown.

The annex 1 originally published on 18 August 2011 also contained a technical fault which caused an error message when users tried to open the file. This fault has been corrected in the current version.

This report considers NHS dental activity and workforce in 2010/11, the fifth year of the current dental contract system. For the first time, this annual report includes information on clinical treatments by NHS dentists.
