Summary
This is the fifth annual report of the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) presenting the key national findings from 2007-2008 in all age groups. The Executive Summary includes data from both primary and secondary care organisations. The Paediatric Report is based exclusively on data from specialist paediatric units providing care for children and young people with diabetes. The NDA provides overall, sequential and comparative information at GP, hospital, PCT, regional and national levels.
Note:Due to an error in the Executive Summary of the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) Mortality Analysis 2007-2008, the figure in the executive summary relating to the relative risk of mortality in people with type 2 diabetes has been updated. This relative risk was reported as 1.6 times higher it should have been 1.5 times higher. The figure was correct in the main report and associated figures and charts. No other figures are affected.
