Summary

We collect data about people with a learning disability, autism, or both who are in hospital. This helps us monitor how many people are admitted, how long they stay, where they receive treatment, and how often their care is reviewed. This helps ensure people are only in hospital when community care is not more appropriate.

How we use the information (processing activities)

We collect information about people with a learning disability, autism or both who are being cared for or treated in a hospital. This information is used to tell how many people are in hospital, how long they have been in hospital for, when their care and treatment is checked and what hospital they are in. This is to ensure people are not in hospital, if they would be better looked after in the community.
