Part of Assuring a data collection or information standard
How your request is assessed
Once your request has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Data Governance, Assurance and Testing team (DGAT)
This team uses a national assurance framework to assess whether your proposal is appropriate, safe and deliverable.
This is why it is important that you provide clear information and evidence to show how your proposal meets the required criteria. Providing complete and accurate information helps to avoid delays.
What happens during the review
Once you submit your request:
1. Initial review
DGAT will check that your submission is complete and contains enough information to begin assessment.
If information is missing or unclear, you may be asked to provide further details.
2. Detailed assessment
Your proposal will be assessed against the assurance criteria outlined below.
This includes reviewing the evidence you have provided and how well your proposal meets each requirement.
3. Follow up and clarification
DGAT may contact you during the review to:
- ask for clarification
- request additional evidence
- discuss specific aspects of your proposal
By responding promptly you will help your request progress quicker.
4. Outcome decision
Once the assessment is complete, you will be informed of the outcome of your request.
