Restrictive Interventions dashboard

This interactive report allows users to explore data on restrictive interventions as reported in the Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS). As part of an improvement initiative there are a number of metrics detailed below which are included in this dashboard. 

Metrics include:

  • a weighted indicator monitoring restrictive interventions per 1000 Occupied Bed Days (OBD’s)
  • inclusion of monitoring the duration of restrictive interventions
  • more intuitive insights to support monitoring of potential health inequalities
  • visibility of specialised mental health services
  • a distinction of monitoring between children and young people and adult mental health services

How to use this tool

This tool is best used by expanding to full screen mode, using the diagonal arrows on the bottom right of the visualisation.

To navigate through the tool, use the ‘Contents’ tab at the bottom of the page or use the arrows in the bottom left and right corners of the screen.

Each tab contains information on different breakdowns for the measures. 

Select a month or variable from the options available in each tab to view corresponding data.
