Highlights

In 2004-2005 family planning clinics in England recorded about 2.6 million attendances, made by about 1.2 million different women and 99,000 men, a decrease of 2-3% compared with the corresponding figures for 2003-2004.

Emergency contraception was prescribed by clinics on 179,000 occasions, a decrease of 5% compared with 2003-04.
