Long Length of Stay Discharge Patient Tracking List Directions 2019

Directions given by NHS England requiring NHS Digital to establish and operate a system for the collection of information to be known as the Long Length of Stay Discharge Patient Tracking List.

Purpose

To exercise such systems delivery functions of NHS England as are necessary for it to deliver the “Long Length of Stay Discharge Patient Tracking List” information system.

Legal basis

Section 254(1) and (6), section 260(2)(d), [section 262(3)(a), section 262(5), section 262(7)] section 274(2) and section 304(9), (10) and (12) of the Health and Social Care Act 20122 and Regulation 32 of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Constitution and Functions) and the Health and Social Care Information Centre (Functions) Regulations 20133 .

The Direction came into force on 13 May 2019.
