Create clinics

A clinic series is a repeating pattern of clinics. Use a series to set up a group of linked clinics all at once.

Every individual clinic in the series shares the same fixed details. These details include the:

• days it runs on
• times
• vaccination services

We link these clinics together so you can change or cancel an entire series at the same time.

Go to your clinic list page

Select 'Clinics' on the main navigation menu. Then select 'Create and manage clinics' on the sub-navigation menu.

Start your clinic setup

Select the green 'Create clinics' button at the top of the page and choose weekly sessions as the clinic type.

Enter the clinic series dates

Enter the dates for your clinic series and select 'Continue'.

Choose the clinic days

Choose the specific days of the week your clinics will run and select 'Continue'.

Add times and capacity

This page helps you work out how many appointments your clinics can hold.

To add your hours and staff details: 

• enter the start time and end time for your clinics
• add the number of vaccinators who will work at the same time
• enter your appointment length in minutes

The capacity calculator updates automatically as you type. It shows your total appointments and appointments per hour. This helps you see the immediate impact of your changes.

Choose your services

Choose which vaccine types and age groups to offer in the clinics.

Add clinic closures

Closures are planned dates when your clinics will not run, such as bank holidays.

If you do not have closures to add then select No and continue straight to the summary page.

If you need to add closures, select 'Yes' and select 'Continue'.

To add your closure details: 

• enter a name for the closure if you want to
• enter the start date and end date
• select 'Continue' to save your details

The next screen will show the closure you have added. You can select 'Add another closure' to add more dates if you need to.

Select 'Continue' when you have added all your closures.

Check and publish your clinic series

Review your clinic series details on the check your answers page. You can select 'Change' next to any section to update its details. Select 'Publish clinic series' when you are done.

The clinic series will not be saved until you publish it.

After you publish your clinic series

Once you publish your clinic series you will see a confirmation page.

Your clinic series will now show in your clinic list. You can find it in the 'Create and manage clinics' area.

A single clinic runs on 1 day and does not repeat.

Enter the clinic date

Enter the date your single clinic will run on and select 'Continue'.

Your single clinic will now show in your clinic list. You can find it in the 'Create and manage clinics' area. Search for the date you selected to view the clinic.
