Access reports in the NHS England Secure Data Environment
Find out about usage reports for your agreement in the Secure Data Environment (SDE).

Use this service to view and download daily management information (MI) reports for your data sharing agreement (DSA).
This guide explains:
- the available MI reports, including a content overview, how often they refresh and a downloadable data dictionary for each report
- how to access, run and view the available reports
Available reports
Reports only show data for the DSA you are logged in to.

How to access the reports
To access and run a report you must have the 'User Manager' role on the agreement. Contact the User Manager on your agreement to have the role added to your account.
To run a report:
- Log in to the SDE portal and select Reports.
- Choose the report you want to run from the list.
- If the report asks for dates, enter the start and end date, then select Generate report. If dates are not needed, select Generate report.
- Wait while the report is created. A progress indicator will show while this is happening.
- Select the download link and follow the instructions on your computer to save the report.
- Select Back to reports to return to the report list.
