Resilience and efficiency
Enabling the NHS to assess network resilience and efficiency through self-assessment.
With a greater reliance on connectivity across the NHS in both primary and secondary care, there is an increasing need to ensure appropriate resilience for network connectivity. This resilience is needed to enable best value continuity of digital services in the event of disruption, and to meet the digital demands of the workforce and service users.
We will support all NHS organisations to identify and achieve adequate and appropriate provision for network resilience. This support aims to mitigate vulnerabilities, and reduce network and connectivity operating costs.
Resilience and Efficiency Self-Assessment Framework Tool
We are developing a Resilience and Efficiency Self-Assessment Framework Tool to support integrated care boards (ICBs) and providers. The tool will provide a view of their organisations’ connectivity estate and support development of robust business cases for local connectivity investment.
National guidance on resilience will be produced on the key areas of network resilience and efficiency. The guidance will also show how maturity against these capabilities can be achieved, and the importance of a well-designed and resilient network for NHS organisations.
How to get involved
A beta version of the Resilience and Efficiency Self-Assessment Framework Tool is available to sample. Get in touch with us at [email protected] to access it.
