NHS Developer Community
Ask questions, share knowledge and support others working with NHS APIs and services.
About the Developer Community
The NHS Developer Community brings together people working with NHS APIs and services, including integrators, product teams and technical specialists. It provides an open space to ask and answer questions, and learn from real-world experience of integrating and supporting NHS services.
By making questions and answers visible and reusable, the Community helps reduce duplication, improves support at scale and gives teams better insight into real-world integration challenges.
Who the Community is for
The Developer Community is for people working with NHS APIs and services who need to ask questions, share knowledge or support others. This includes:

- Understand how others have approached a similar problem
- Clarify guidance or resolve uncertainty about a service
- Ask questions that could benefit other users
- See announcements about our services and APIs, when you don't know where to start or need access to a direct NHSE team
For NHS teams, use the Community when you need to:
- Respond to user questions in a shared space
- Share updates or guidance with a wider audience
- Identify and understand common issues affecting users
- promote your service or APIs, and manage your users' comms, engagements or workflows
How it works
The Community is a shared, open Discourse forum where questions and answers are visible to everyone.
- Discussions are organised into categories, usually based on APIs or services, as well as general topics such as announcements and feedback
- Questions are posted as topics, and responses build into threaded discussions that others can follow and contribute to
- Discussions remain available over time, creating a growing knowledge base that others can search and reuse
- NHS teams and Community members contribute to discussions and respond to queries in the same space
- You can search, filter, or follow specific topics, services, or tags to stay informed about activity
