Governing requests for data

NHS England takes the importance of information governance very seriously. The Advisory Group for Data (AGD) provides oversight of NHS England's processes to ensure they are appropriate for governing the receipt, processing and publication of data that does not compromise confidentiality and maximises the use of information.

Interim data advisory group

NHS England is putting in place a new group to advise on internal and external access arrangements for confidential information collected from the NHS and adult social care services under its data functions transferred to NHS England from NHS Digital. Interim arrangements are in place while this new group is being established.
