Summary

This annual report brings together information on NHS dental activity in England for the 12-month period to 31 March 2018, (including clinical treatments and dental workforce) and information on the number of patients seen by an NHS dentist up to 30 June 2018.

This publication comprises the new content outlined in the proposed changes to the annual dental publication published in June 2018.

Data for 2014-15 to 2017-18 referral to advanced mandatory services in tables 5a and 5d has been revised, as it was under-reported previously, data for all other courses of treatment remain the same. The revised data tables have been published as Supplementary Information (see Resource Links below).
