Summary
The National Pregnancy in Diabetes (NPID) audit is part of the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) programme which is managed by NHS England. It aims to support clinical teams to deliver better care and outcomes for women with diabetes who become pregnant and has been running since 2014.
This report summarises national findings on the use of hybrid closed loop (HCL) technologies among women with type 1 diabetes whose pregnancies ended in the 2025 audit year. This analysis includes data on pregnancies which ended between 1st January and 31st December 2025 where insulin type was recorded. As HCL data has only been collected in NPID since May 2025 it is likely that this is an underrepresentation of the true usage of HCL in pregnant women for this time period.
Highlights
The data file in this publication provides a national level spotlight analysis on HCL usage for women with type 1 diabetes.
