These indicators were designed to monitor the number of pregnancies, abortions, and to monitor access to abortion services.

As of October 2018, please refer to the Abortion statistics in England and Wales published by the Department for Health and Social Care and the Reproductive Health indicators in the Sexual and Reproductive Health Profiles published by Public Health England for the following indicators:

Abortions: crude rate, by maternal age group, annual, F (P00607),

Abortions by gestational age: percent, all maternal ages, annual, F (P00610),

Abortions performed in the NHS and privately: percent, all maternal ages, annual, F (P00611),
