NHS Choices on-line services information or communications systems Directions 2013
Directions given by the Secretary of State for Health requiring NHS Digital to develop or operate NHS Choices on-line services information or communications systems.
Purpose
The directions are an interim measure to ensure NHS Choices services remain available until the new Health and Social Care Digital Service online services, which will replace NHS Choices, are delivered.
Legal basis
Sections 274(2) and 304(9) and (10) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 and Regulation 32 of the National Institute for Health and Social Care Excellence (Constitution and Functions) and the Health and Social Care Information Centre (Functions) Regulations 2013.
These Directions came into force on 1 August 2013.
