Establishment of information systems for NHS Services: GP workload Directions 2017
Directions given by NHS England requiring NHS Digital to establish and operate a system for the collection of information to be known as the GP workload collection information system.
Purpose
To support the NHS to better articulate general practice workload, understand appointment activity and utilisation and demonstrate the use of general practice across the month.
Legal basis
Sections 254(1), (3) and (6) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
The Directions came into force on 31 May 2017.
