Data Strategy Advisory Panel

The panel

The Data Strategy Advisory Panel (formerly known as the National Data Advisory Group) is an independent stakeholder advisory group. It provides advice, challenge and co-design on data policy for the Department of Health Care and NHS England Transformation Directorate. This includes work on public and staff engagement, transparency and emerging policies, as well as emerging issues.

Data Saves Lives strategy

The Data Strategy Advisory Panel was established during development and implementation of the Data Saves Lives strategy. The strategy was published in 2022 and set out a vision and action plan to reshape health and social care with data. The strategy can be viewed on the national archives.


Health Data Opt-out Advisory Group

The Health Data Opt-Out Advisory Group is a sub-group of the Data Strategy Advisory Panel. It supports policy thinking on the future of the National Data Opt-Out and provides focused advice on potential reform.
