This technical guidance is for general practices and primary care networks using EMIS as their clinical system. It addresses known data quality issues with minimum burden on users. It should be read in conjunction with NHS England guidance on more accurate appointment data and guidance for implementing the national appointment categories (EMIS appointment categorisation).
