Introduction

Illumina have released security updates to address a series of critical vulnerabilities in their next generation DNA sequencing software. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take complete control of an affected system.

Three of the reported vulnerabilities have a base CVSS score of 10 out of 10.

Remediation advice

Affected organisations should review the CISA ICS Advisory (ICSA-22-153-02) Illumina Local Run Manager and install the relevant software updates released by Illumina.
