Threat details
MyDoom is distributed as an EXE file attachment in spam emails sent over SMTP. When executed, MyDoom will attempt to enrol the affected device into a botnet controlled over TCP port 1042. The device is then used to send further spam emails containing MyDoom to randomised email addresses.
