At the time of publication, it is unknown how this malware is being distributed. It is likely that is being delivered via spam email as an attachment file.
Once infected, the ransomware will begin encrypting files and leave a ransom note offering affected users a choice of payment by bitcoin or PayPal. Users who select PayPal are re-directed to a phishing site in an attempt to capture credentials.
