Summary

Carestream Health have released a security update to addresss a vulnerability in their Vue radiological information system (RIS) product.

Affected platforms

The following platforms are known to be affected:

Carestream Vue RIS

  • Carestream Vue RIS - Versions 11.2 and prior on Windows 8.1 with IIS/7.5

Threat details

A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain technical information from an affected device, that could then be used to in further attacks.

Remediation steps

Carestream have produced an update to address this vulnerability. Affected organisations should contact Carestream Customer Support to obtain the patch.

They have also suggested disabling "Show debug messages" and enabling SSL for client/server communications as a workaround for organisations that are unable to patch.
