Threat details

BackSwap is distributed by a variant of the Nemucod and Nymaim downloaders. Non-functioning versions of legitimate applications are used to deliver the payload in order to prevent detection by common anti-virus products.

Once installed, BackSwap will attempt to collect banking and financial credentials from the affected browser using JavaScript injection. If it is able to gain access to accounts it will transfer money to a number of other accounts.
